Leather-Clean at Sturgis Rally 2015

The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is the largest gathering of bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts in the world, held in Sturgis, South Dakota.  And this year marks the 75th Anniversary of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.  You know what that means?  Lots of bikers, and lots of leather (lots of leather that needs cleaning, that is…)

Welcome to Sturgis.

The Leather-Clean team decided to go stop in on Sturgis this year.  Both Chris and Nick came to Sturgis this year to come and talk to the bikers about their leather.  Our message: you can finally wash your leather!

Of course, there are quite a few bikers out there who like their leather nice and dirty.  For example, our friend here, he liked just the way his leather shirt looked, smelt, and felt (even though it was pretty dirty!).

We went all over Main Street in Sturgis today, and met a whole bunch of people who were interested in how they could clean their leather.  Traditionally they have used creams and lotions to condition their leather – and that’s great!  But they had never actually washed their leather to clean it.  When we told them they could wash it, they were excited!  We handed out free samples and made friends along the way.  We are looking forward to hearing and seeing their results.  Here are a couple pictures of Sturgis for your enjoyment:

Lots and lots of motorbikes. Leather-Clean works great on saddles to really clean them up.

I love leather and I love bikes. I would never ride them (I am too chicken and the noise level of them…it’s too much) but I love looking at them and admiring the many ways people get them done. My hubs watches a show where they customize bikes and those bikes look so cool and nice.

Leather is really not easy to clean if DIY at home. Professional cleaning services is a must so we can be more sure that our material will be in good hands. Drying it out is also hard because if not properly done, the smell can be bad.

What a fun event for big bike enthusiasts. My husband is not a biker, but he has a black leather jacket that he loves to use a lot during the cold weather days. I will get him a Leather-Clean cleaner. Thanks for the code!

I always have difficult getting my leather jackets clean! I will have to look into this more! Thanks for highlighting a coupon which is a total incentive for me to try something I have never done before! I will be sharing your post with a friend today too!

I had no idea that little town of Sturgis could hold so many bikes!! This sounds like an amazing way to clean your leather. I know that is one hard thing about leather is to keep it clean.

That looks like a fun event and I’m sure my sis, BIL, daughter and SIL would have loved to have been there. I had no idea that leather could be washed and I’m sure they don’t either so I’m going to pass along your info and post. Thanks so much for sharing and for the savings.

My father is really into making his leather look fresh and dang-near shiny. He usually uses some sort of leather conditioner I believe, but he’d be opening to trying something new. You really hit the mark by setting up shop at a motorcycle event. I would have never thought of that.

I think I’ve seen this motorcycle rally on television before. It looks like a huge event! This sounds like a great product because it can be so hard to clean leather. I definitely would use it on my leather purses.
